day 3- Rock climbing

Several years back, I started rock climbing at an indoor gym. I loved it and meant to buy myself the gear (shoes, chalk bag, harness). But then I lost my job, I didn't have money to go anymore.

Fast forward, and now I'm living in WA State and networking with other professionals in my industry (Look Ma! I'm all growned up!). One of the latest people I've met, invited me to come to ladies night at the local rock climbing gym.

Crazy thing. When we met in person, she was the first to realize that we've been following each other on Twitter and having Twitter Chats FOR MONTHS! You might be thinking, "Wow, small world!" But no, I stalked-- I mean became her Twitter friend as a calculated ploy. See, she works at the company that makes my favorite computer game series EVER. I follow several people from this company because I want them to get to know me. I want them to know that I'm a cool gal they would like. (here's where it gets diabolical) so that some day in the future so a job opening appear that I'm qualified for and I apply, they will put in a good word for me. Becoming actually friends is a nice fringe benefit =)

But back to the rock climbing. It was so much fun. My arms and legs are so sore, but I'm already thinking that I need to save money. I need to get belay certified (Means I can stand at the bottom controlling the rope when another person is climbing) that way me and my new friend (I made a friend!) can climb together more often. To  get certified I need to take a class.

Talk about a fun way to work out and build muscles you've never used before. I'm pretty sure I'm going to wake up tomorrow and not be able to move.
