I forgot to post yesterday. I'm not sure how I forgot since the big news of the diet is... are you ready? I FIT IN MY SIZE 10 PANTS AGAIN!!! They are a little snug, but I can button them up comfortable. I weighed in today at 142.5lbs (I'm also on my period, and I know I bloat, so wahoo for water retention.)
I really excited about fitting into my old jeans. This means that I'm almost back to where I was when I first got off Medifast over a year ago (138.5lbs). I had done do well, but I was training for a half-marathon, and heavy exercise is not a good fit for this diet. I was hungry all the time. When I called into the nutrition support nurse, she actually told me to stop the diet. I didn't go through the transition period at all. My weight jumped back up about 8-10 pounds over the next month. The rest came back during a depression spell just before my grandfather passed away.
This time I'm going to keep going until I reach my healthy weight. I'm not training for a race. I'm not running at all because of my hip. (Maybe this hip injury is the universe helping me. I really love running. If not for this injury there's a good chance I would be out there running and pushing myself too hard for this diet.) I still need to incorporate walking into my daily routine. I do a lot of walking at the retail job, but I would like to start walking around the neighborhood.
Once I get under 140lbs, I'll take new front and side-view pictures and post them with my Day One photos.
