I went to Stiches West today (A massive convention for knitters and fans of all fiber arts). Amoung all the knitting and weaving loot that I bought, I also bought two boxes of Thin Mints from the GirlScout booth.
Don't worry. The boxes are still sealed. I'm not going to open them... yet. I love Thin Mints, but by the time I've reached my goal weight, it will no longer be Thin Mint season, therefore, I'm stocking up now. They will be waiting for me at the top shelf of the cupboard when I'm finally able to bring them down and chuck them into the fridge to chill before I allow myself to eat them (with restraint, no whole box in one sitting).
They are yummy, a friend posted all these yummy (and so not healthy) recipes . When I'm off the diet, I may try a couple of them. Again, as a treat, not a regular daily meal.
I'm going to take another dose of my steroids tonight. I was fine all day (didn't take any this morning) but now I feel the pain creeping back into my neck, head, and jaws. I want to hold off until Monday or Tuesday before I go back on the shot.
I'm housesitting for a friend this week, and I'm super thrilled because it's like I get a vacation as well. I get to spend a week in a quite house. No loud booming TV because my dad is going deaf. No late night walks into the front room to ask them to turn down the TV. No slamming doors because my dad is physically incapable of being quite (He a very big man). Just me and "The Quite".
