When I got home from my closing shift last night, I discovered my indoor cat, Castle, was missing. I wound up walking the several blocks surrounding my neighborhood for about 2 hours, rattling his treat tin, calling his name, until just after 2am when the cold and the rain forced me inside.I stayed away until 10am hoping to hear him meowing at the front door. I finally fell into an uneasy sleep.
Turns out he wasn't lost. He never got out in the first place. He was locked in my parent's walk-in closet. I can only assume that he was so scared at being locked in there that he didn't call out. I had to force him out
On the bright side, I walked almost 8,000 steps searching for the Not-lost-cat.
