It's week two and when I slid into my jeans this morning I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they fit comfortably again. I didn't feel like my thighs were over-stuffed sausages. The waistband was almost a bit loose on me - and it's only been one week!
I'm feeling pretty good. No major cravings for foods. I've been doing good about not eating the free snacks they give out at work. No lie, this is hard. I love donut Friday. And seeing a bowl of gummy fruit snack packs, makes me want to grab a bag and eat those sugary gummy treats that instant. Saying no is not easy. But I remind myself that while I will enjoy that treat for the moment that I'm eating it, that's not going to help me in the long run. So I keep walking and when I get to my desk I drink my water (almost angerly, because, darn it! I want to eat that treat!)... I've been drinking a lot of water because they put out free treats so often.
But today was a good reminder that by saying no to the treats, I'm loosing my muffin-top. And that is the best treat of all.
